Wine Merchants

Wine merchants are professionals that you can buy wine from and may offer to store your wine for you. This can be expensive. They will monitor your wine though and let you know when it is ready for drinking. There have been some that have "removed" bottles from their clients' collections. Be sure yours is keeping excellent records to keep this from happening to your collection.

If you are not aware of one near you, you can probably find one online. Check with your local wine store or wineries as well. Sometimes they will store your wine for you. In the current economy, they may be looking for ways to make up income. Ask and who knows you might get lucky. You might also gets some discounts on their wine for doing this.

The biggest drawback, besides the possibility of bottles being removed, is that you have to plan your wine consumption. If you are going to be doing this, I recommend having a wine closet as well. That way you can have some around the house for everyday drinking, or plan for the month and pick up bottles from your merchant on a regular basis.
