Want a Fatter White Wine?
Try a Trebbiano Wine

The grape used to make trebbiano wine is extremely productive on the vine. It's one of the easiest grapes to grow and is the most planted white wine grape in the world.

That being said, I don't like these wines too much. They're floral, with honey and strong fruits like pineapple and melon on the nose. They taste more acidic, think citrus. But still have the depth of Chardonnay. Cataldi Madonna Trebbiano D'Abruzzo from Labels at Wine Library

For some that may sound good. My husband really enjoys these wines. For me, I generally pass.

It's a great grape to add some depth to thin wines though. That's its most typical use. To help other wines find their balance.

All in all, give it a shot. The Trebbiano D'Abruzzo wines are a good place to start.

Just remember if you're looking for Riesling crispness, this isn't the wine for you. But if you like a little more depth, this could be a good bet.
