If You Like Torrontes, Give Malvasia Bianca Wine a Pour

Saying there is a best growing region for Malvasia Bianca wine would be untrue. At least no one has found the perfect place for it yet. It's grown well throughout the old and new world. But it's most common in Italy, Sicily, Hungary, California and Australia. Most of my experience is from Sicilian and Californian wines.

This grape creates wines that are floral, think orange blossoms, and citrusy, lemon and pineapple are common. It's crisp with great acidity and just a hint of sweetness.

I discussed recently its relationship to Torrontes. They are closely related and might even been genetically identical. I love them both, so don't ask me to choose. I'll have both.

Great wine for fish and poultry, or even better a hot day at the beach.

If you like the floral aspects of beer, you might try a bottle of this. It got me to drink beer after all and that was something that seemed impossible. Even with a brewer as a husband.
